What is a Remote Photoshoot?
A Remote Photoshoot is a photographer-directed portrait service that lets you receive professional portraits without visiting a studio. You send recent photos of yourself, and I combine professional photographic direction with advanced AI imaging technology to create your finished portraits remotely.
Is this the same as using an AI headshot generator?
No. Automated AI headshot generators typically produce large batches of images for you to sort through yourself. With Remote Photoshoots, I personally direct the creative process as a professional portrait photographer, making decisions about lighting, composition, posing, wardrobe, setting, and overall visual style. AI is the tool. I’m the photographer.
Do you use AI to create the portraits?
Yes. I use advanced AI imaging technology as part of my creative process, combined with my experience and judgment as a professional portrait photographer. I also use traditional photo editing software when needed. AI expands what I’m able to create—it doesn’t replace the photographer behind the image.
Do I have to live near you to book a Remote Photoshoot?
No. The entire process is completed remotely, so you can book from anywhere I currently serve. There’s no studio appointment or travel required.
YOUR PHOTOS & LIKENESS
What photos do I need to submit?
Clear, recent smartphone photos are usually all I need. For the best results, submit photos with good lighting, a clear view of your face, and several different angles. You’ll receive detailed photo-submission instructions after booking.
Do my photos need to be professionally taken?
No. Professional photos are not required. Recent, clear phone photos can provide the visual reference I need to create your portraits.
Will my finished portrait actually look like me?
Yes. Your portraits are created to look like you, based on the photos you submit and any specific requests you make about your appearance.
Most clients want to look like themselves—just polished, professional, and photographed at their best. That is always my goal unless you specifically request an appearance change.
If you do want something changed, such as your hairstyle, hair color, teeth, glasses, or another feature, you can request those changes when choosing your service and provide the details after booking.
Can I tell you how I want to look?
Absolutely. After booking, you’ll complete a creative brief where you can share your preferences for hair, wardrobe, makeup, facial hair, overall style, and other details that are important to you.
You can also tell me what you don’t want. The more I understand your preferences before I begin, the more precisely I can direct your photoshoot.
PROOFS SELECTION & CHANGES
Will I get to see my portraits before they’re finalized?
Yes. You’ll receive a private selection of watermarked proofs to review before final finishing. You’ll choose your favorite image or images based on the number included in your package, and I’ll complete the final work on your selections.
Do I get to keep all of the proofs?
No. Proofs are provided for viewing and selection only. Your package includes the number of finished portraits stated when you book. Unselected proofs are not included and may not be downloaded, shared, or used.
If you fall in love with an additional proof, you may have the option to purchase it as an additional finished image.
Can I request changes after seeing my proofs?
This depends on the service you purchase. Some packages include limited creative adjustments, while others are designed around selecting your favorite images from the proofs provided.
Your package details and photo-submission form will clearly explain what is included before I begin.
What if I’m very particular about how I want my portrait to look?
Please share your preferences in as much detail as possible on your photo-submission form before I begin creating your portraits. You can tell me what you like, what you don’t like, and any details that are especially important to you.
If you want greater creative input and customization, I recommend choosing a package that includes a higher level of creative direction rather than the Classic Headshot.
DELIVERY, IMAGE USE & PRINTING
How will I receive my finished portraits?
Your finished portraits are delivered digitally as high-quality image files. They’re easy to download and ready for professional digital use.
What can I use my portraits for?
Your portraits are ideal for LinkedIn, professional profiles, company websites, personal websites, social media, online marketing, digital portfolios, and other everyday professional uses.
Can I print my Remote Photoshoot portraits?
Yes. Your images may be suitable for standard-size personal or professional prints. Print quality can vary depending on the image, print size, and printing method.
Remote Photoshoots are not intended for very large-format commercial applications such as billboards, vehicle wraps, oversized posters, or large trade-show displays.
If you need an image for a specific print size or commercial application, please contact me before booking so I can determine whether Remote Photoshoots is appropriate for your project.
Can I use my portraits for my business or personal brand?
Yes. Your finished portraits can be used for your professional presence, business website, personal brand, social media, and marketing materials.
If you’re planning a specialized commercial use, large advertising campaign, or large-format print project, contact me before booking so we can make sure the service fits your intended use.
PRIVACY & YOUR PHOTOS
Are the photos I upload private?
Yes. Your reference photos are used only to create the Remote Photoshoot you purchased. They are not used for advertising, portfolio work, or any unrelated purpose.
How long do you keep my reference photos?
Your submitted reference photos are temporary working files and are deleted within 30 days after your finished portraits are delivered.
Your final finished portraits may be retained as part of my professional photography archive, just as I retain finished work from my traditional photography practice.
Will you post my finished portraits on your website or social media?
Not without your permission. Purchasing a Remote Photoshoot does not automatically give me permission to publish your portraits on my website, portfolio, social media, or advertising.
If I would like to feature your portraits, I will ask for your permission separately.
Are my reference photos used for anything besides my order?
No. Your reference photos are provided specifically for creating the service you purchased and are not repurposed for unrelated projects.
CONTENT & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Can I submit any photograph as a reference?
No. Please submit photos of yourself that you own or have permission to use. I cannot reproduce or substantially recreate copyrighted professional photography, artwork, or other protected material without authorization from the rights holder.
Can you add a company logo or other brand to my portrait?
Company logos, trademarks, and branded materials may only be incorporated when you have permission or authorization to use them. Corporate clients may provide their own authorized brand assets for approved projects.
Can you make me look like a celebrity or another real person?
No. I can make requested changes to your own appearance, but I will not create a portrait designed to make you impersonate or closely resemble another real person or celebrity.
Do you create lingerie, nude or sexually suggestive portraits?
No. Remote Photoshoots specializes in professional headshots, personal branding, and professional portraiture. I do not offer nude, lingerie, or sexually suggestive image creation.
Do you create portraits of children?
No. RemotePhotoshoots.com is an adult-focused service, and clients booking services must be 18 or older.
BOOKING, DELIVERY & PURCHASES
What happens after I purchase a service?
After checkout, you’ll complete a photo-submission and creative brief form. This is where you’ll upload your reference photos, explain what you’re creating, and provide any preferences or appearance-edit details included with your package.
How long does a Remote Photoshoot take?
Turnaround time depends on the service, number of images, and current workload. Your estimated delivery timeframe will be provided with your order so you know what to expect before the project begins.
Can I purchase additional images after seeing my proofs?
Yes. Your package includes the number of finished portraits stated at purchase. If you love an additional proof, you may be able to purchase it as another finished image before final delivery.
Are proofs included with my purchase?
No. Proofs are provided for viewing and selection only. They are watermarked previews and are not included as finished images unless they are part of your purchased package or purchased separately.
Can I cancel or get a refund after purchasing?
Because each Remote Photoshoot is a custom creative service, cancellation and refund eligibility depends on whether production has begun. Full details will be provided in the terms you acknowledge before submitting your photos.
